The face of Australian trucking is undergoing a dramatic transformation following the launch of Isuzu’s eagerly awaited 2025 truck range.

Revealed at this year’s Brisbane Truck Show, the all-new models promise to redefine the nation’s roads—with bold styling, smarter technology, and upgraded safety systems set to become the new standard.

A Defining Moment

Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) Director and Chief Operating Officer, Andrew Harbison, described the full range launch as a landmark event.

“For nearly 40 years, we’ve been proud to serve the evolving needs of Australian transport operators,” Mr Harbison said.

“This latest release represents a full model evolution—ushering in the safest, smartest, and most efficient vehicles Isuzu has ever offered here.”

The revamped lineup, Mr Harbison added, is expected to exceed expectations, continuing the brand’s long-standing dominance across every vehicle class.

Built for the Future

Titled ‘Reliability Redefined,’ the new line-up has been engineered from the ground up with an eye on long-term sustainability and operator flexibility.

Rooted in Isuzu’s global Modular Architecture and Components Standard (I-MACS), this platform introduces a modular approach to design, allowing adaptability for regulatory shifts and changing operational needs.

The 2025 release is a testament to Isuzu’s broader global strategy: to deliver reliable transport solutions across diverse industry sectors while focusing on innovation, emissions reduction, and driver wellbeing.

A Model for Every Mission

Spanning from the car licence-friendly N Series (starting at 4,500 kg GVM) through to the powerhouse FX and FY Series (up to 32,000 kg GVM), the breadth of choice is unmatched—209 model variations when including alternate GVMs.

The N Series features versatile models like the NKR, NLR, NPR, and NQR, reaching up to 8,800 kg GVM. Wheelbase diversity offers tailored solutions across industries.

Moving up, the F Series brings 52 variants with GVM ratings from 11,000 kg up to 26,000 kg. This includes popular models such as the FRR and FVZ, plus dual control and robust 4x4 options.

For heavier-duty demands, the FX and FY Series dominate, spanning from 17,000 kg to 32,000 kg GVM—ideal for high-capacity applications like waste transport or long-haul logistics.

Advanced Power and Clean Tech

The 2025 trucks boast a new range of diesel powerplants, all ADR-compliant and tuned for the unique demands of Australian conditions.

  • N Series models come equipped with the efficient 4JZ1 engine (available in 150 PS and 175 HP variants), and the more powerful 4HK1-TCH delivering up to 190 HP.
  • Emissions are kept in check with a combination of Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), Diesel Particulate Diffuser (DPD), and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems using AdBlue.

F Series models debut the all-new DB6A engine—available in 260 HP and 300 HP variants—achieving clean performance without EGR, relying solely on DPD and SCR for emissions control.

Topping the heavy-duty segment is the proven 6UZ1-TCC, a six-cylinder 355 HP engine mated with comprehensive emissions tech and AdBlue dosing.

Smarter Shifting

The drivetrain also sees major upgrades:

  • The N Series introduces the MYR9S 9-speed automated manual transmission—a dual-clutch system with smoother transitions and added park functionality.
  • The F Series keeps the robust MZW-6P AMT, while models with the new DB6A engine come standard with Allison six-speed automatic transmissions, offering refined power delivery and lower lifecycle costs.
  • For FX and FY trucks, the Allison 4430 continues to lead, combining advanced control systems with PTO functionality for demanding use cases.

Unrivalled Safety

Safety takes a front seat in the 2025 lineup.

  • The N Series now features 15 active safety aids thanks to its updated stereo camera and radar tech.
  • The F Series builds on its ADAS platform with even more features, and includes radar positioned discreetly in the front bumper.
  • Meanwhile, the FX/FY Series benefit from 10 brand-new systems including Full Speed Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, and Traffic Sign Recognition.

Across the board, trucks now come equipped with up to 12 integrated active and passive safety technologies—making this the safest range Isuzu has delivered in Australia.

Inside the Cabin

The 2025 range doesn't just look good from the outside—the interior is equally forward-thinking.

  • From sleek LED headlights and aerodynamic grilles to keyless entry, the cabin has been reimagined for driver comfort and operational ease.
  • Interior highlights include ergonomic seats like the ISRI 6860/875 NTS2 climate seat, custom controls, and a modern cockpit layout.
  • The intuitive MyIsuzu Co-Pilot multimedia system features a large touchscreen, smartphone integration, steering wheel controls, and a smart multi-info display unit.

Setting a New Benchmark

Speaking at the Brisbane Truck Show, Mr Harbison emphasized the significance of this milestone—Isuzu’s first full model upgrade since 2008.

“At Isuzu, continuous improvement isn’t just a slogan—it’s our standard,” he said.

“This release reflects years of innovation and planning to ensure our customers have access to world-class technology, safety, and reliability, tailored to the needs of Australian business.”
