Isuzu Truck Giveaway Winner Announced: WA Earthmoving Contractor Takes Home MY25 Workhorse
Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) has officially revealed Kevin Hort of KTB Contractors in Western Australia as the winner of its major truck giveaway, celebrating the launch of the all-new MY25 Isuzu truck range.
Operating across Western Australia, Kevin Hort has built a long-standing career in the construction sector, delivering a wide range of residential and commercial earthmoving projects.
A loyal Isuzu customer for decades, Mr Hort said the unexpected win caught him completely off guard.
“I was amazed, excited and pleased all at once. I’ve never really won anything of that magnitude before,” Mr Hort said.
“When they told me I’d won, my first reaction was, ‘you’re shi**ing me’… I just couldn’t believe it,” he laughed.
His selection highlights both the strong engagement with the competition and Isuzu’s deep ties to Australia’s trade and construction industries.

Isuzu Giveaway Celebrates Customers and Industry Loyalty
According to Head of Marketing and Customer Experience at IAL, John Walker, the competition was designed to recognise customers while marking a major milestone for the brand.
“The launch of our all-new Isuzu truck range represents one of the most important chapters in our history, so we wanted to celebrate it in a way that genuinely resonated with our customers,” Mr Walker said.
The giveaway was first introduced during the Brisbane Truck Show, where the MY25 range was unveiled to the public.
“The Brisbane Truck Show was an important moment for us to put these trucks in front of the people who use them every day,” Mr Walker said.
“This giveaway brings that story to life; it shows exactly who the MY25 range is built for and how it supports real Australian operators.”
“Kevin’s a fantastic example of that, and we are delighted to be handing over the keys.”

What the Winner Received: MY25 Isuzu NLR 45-150 Traypack
The prize package centres around a brand-new Ready-to-Work NLR 45-150 Traypack, along with a range of extras including accessories, Isuzu merchandise, and a three-year Total Service Agreement.
It also included a VIP motorsport experience at the Adelaide Supercars Grand Final for Kevin and three guests.
The MY25 Traypack reflects Isuzu’s latest advancements in safety, fuel efficiency, and driver comfort, shaped by real-world operator feedback.
“Our new range has been engineered with a clear focus on what matters most to our customers,” Mr Walker said.
“That means improved safety systems, refined driveability, and a cabin environment that prioritises comfort and ease of use during long hours on the road. It is a truck designed not just to perform, but to support the people behind the wheel.”

Long-Term Isuzu Owner Praises New MY25 Truck
With over 40 years in the industry, Mr Hort has owned multiple Isuzu trucks and speaks highly of the brand’s reliability and support network.
“I’m in the process of winding down my business, but I’ve had eight Isuzu trucks over my time, and they’ve always delivered for me. The backup and service through Major Motors here in Perth has been first class all the way through,” he said.
“I’ve got to say, the new little Isuzu is an absolute delight to drive. The new transmission is wonderful and has made a huge difference.
“It’s a beautiful little truck, every bit as good as the promos I’d read about the new model.”

Strong Industry Response to Isuzu MY25 Range
IAL reports strong engagement from both existing customers and new buyers following the launch and competition.
“The response to both the competition and the new range has been extremely encouraging,” Mr Walker said.
He added that the initiative reinforces Isuzu’s commitment to supporting industries where durability and performance are critical.
“Construction, trade, and logistics businesses form the backbone of our customer base, and they operate in demanding conditions every day,” he said.
“Our goal is to provide equipment that helps them do their jobs more effectively, safely, and comfortably. Initiatives like this are one way we can acknowledge that partnership and say, ‘thank you’.”

VIP Supercars Experience Tops Off Prize
For Mr Hort, the motorsport component of the prize added an extra layer of excitement.
“It was absolutely awesome. Especially the Supercars experience over in Adelaide. It was first class, really well organised and we had a fantastic weekend,” he said.
“They made us feel welcome. It was a great experience, especially as a lifelong petrol head and motorsports fan.”
He also acknowledged the support from Isuzu’s dealership network.
“Major Motors have been awesome over the years. They’ve always been my go-to,” he said.
“I’m extremely grateful. I couldn’t have wished for a better retirement present.”
Isuzu MY25 Truck Rollout Continues Across Australia
As Mr Hort takes delivery of his new truck, Isuzu continues rolling out its MY25 range nationwide, supported by its dealer network and customer service infrastructure.
“This giveaway has been a great way to celebrate the arrival of our new line-up, but it is just the beginning. We are looking forward to seeing these trucks out on Australian roads, delivering for businesses like Kevin’s every single day,” Mr Walker said.
